The Committee will issue reports on various topics and recommend policy changes on the county, state or federal level. In addition, the Committee will examine and recommend strategies to improve delivery of services by the county’s Department of Social Services. Specific areas of interest include:
The Committee oversees county policies affecting the health of Westchester residents; makes recommendations to the full Board of Legislators on measures and/or initiatives that would enhance public health within the county; oversees the county’s relationship with the Westchester Health Care Corporation (formerly the Westchester County Medical Center).
